About St Lucy's Youth Zone

We are a Youth Group based in St Lucy's, Cumbernauld.

Our aim is to provide a safe, friendly environment for the children of our community and beyond.

The Youth Zone began in September 2014 with several aims in mind. These included providing a safe and secure environment for the children of the community of Abronhill and it's surrounding areas, bridging the primary and secondary gap between and giving them something that they can call their own as they help to take responsibility for the club itself by pointing the leaders in the direction that they would like it to go in.

Thanks to the amazing generosity of the parishioners of St Lucy's, the general community and the local schools with our fundraising and sharing of information we have grown steadily.  Because of this fundraising and support, we have been able to provide reduced cost trips to:

Adventure Planet, ProBowl, Kirkintilloch, The Handmade Burger Company and a Christmas Panto at Cumbernauld Theatre.

We have provided a free trip to Briarlands Farm for 80 children and their families and we have hosted the fantastic MandM Productions who have brought two wonderful pantomimes to the hall again, free of charge.

We have a wonderful team of helpers which, thankfully, is ever-growing and we look forward to welcoming new members to the team.
